When did you start working in the travel industry?
I first joined the travel industry in 1992 when I finished 6th form. I initially did work experience for Norwich Cruise Centre during the early part of 1992. When I completed 6th form in the summer, I was taken on as a trainee, whilst doing a part time travel & tourism course at college. I have been working with Norwich Cruise Centre ever since, although the company is now under the Fred Olsen Travel umbrella.
What is your favourite Holiday Destination?
My favourite holiday destination is Dubai. In my opinion it is the most luxurious holiday destination in the world and has something for everyone. The overall destination of Dubai, whether it be the white sandy beaches of Jumeriah, the best water parks in the world for the kids, the stunning city views 50 or 60 floors high, the fantastic malls featuring the best shopping, indoor theme parks for kids, or the indoor ski slope - Dubai is one of the most exciting cities in the world.
Where would you like to visit next?
I would next like to take a trip to Chicago again with my daughter to see our best friends.
What is your dream holiday destination?
I would love to travel to Norway in the winter to view the Northern Lights. I have visited Norway in the summer and it really is the most beautiful country with stunning scenery. I would dearly love to experience this covered in snow, to cruise through the Arctic waters (on an icebreaker ship of course), and to stay up all night in the hope of seeing the Northern Lights.
What has been your favourite holiday, which you have booked for a customer, that you would love to take yourself?
This has probably got to be a trip I booked for a couple who travelled by train from San Francisco down to San Diego, the border of Mexico. The scenery along this coast line is breathtaking, and the little villages and towns along the way are very quaint. I have experienced some train travel in the USA, and it is definitely the way to travel, the trains are everything you imagine in America, and more.

The hotels in Dubai are some of the most luxurious I have ever experienced, and you are treated like movie stars. Where else can you ski, sunbathe, experience a desert jeep safari, and view the city from the tallest building in the world - all in one day?
