What is your favourite thing about your job?
I enjoy the variety that it offers, with all the different destinations and companies that we can sell there's always something new to learn. It also means that the job doesn't get repetitive. Oh and of course being a part of such a lovely team!
What is your dream holiday destination?
I would love to go to the Caribbean, I think it sounds like a great destination, and all of the photographs look gorgeous with the crystal clear oceans and the white sandy beaches. Everyone I have spoken to that has been says that the people are very friendly, and that it really does look like the brochures, so it's definitely high on my list!
What has been your favourite holiday, which you have booked for a customer, that you would love to take yourself?
I booked for some customers to go on a tour in America, it was a "Parks and Canyon Spectacular" tour, which started in Denver and visited a lot of major sites in America including Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone National Park, Salt Lake City and the Grand Canyon. The tour then ended in Las Vegas, which is another place I wish to visit. I would love to take a holiday like this myself.
What are your top tips for a cruise holiday?
With cruise holidays I would advise to choose carefully, different people want different things from their cruise, so it is important to make the best choice for your needs. Some people prefer to have amazing facilities on the ship, whilst for others it is all about the itinerary. Recently a couple of very well-seasoned cruisers came in to collect their tickets, they told me that Cunard was their favourite line because they had the biggest dance floor!
Leah's Top Travel Tips
1) Research your destination, it's always good to know the best transportation links in the area as well as planning what you would like to see or do, to make sure you don't come back and realise that you've missed something! When planning trips to places with a lot to see it can be worthwhile making a day by day itinerary, even if you don't stick to it 100%.
2) Even on the busiest holidays try to give yourself some free time, in case you want to spend more time at something than you had planned to, or if you just need some time to relax!
3) Allow yourself plenty of time for travelling to and from the airport, port or joining point. This will keep your stress levels down and make the start and end of your holiday much more enjoyable.
My favourite holiday destination is Florida, I absolutely love all of the theme-parks and roller coasters. There are also lovely beaches and great shopping centres and the food is amazing, it offers so much as a destination.
