Revelling In River Cruise Praise

Here at Fred. Olsen Travel Agents, we are extremely proud to have ended 2018 on a real high note. As the year drew to a close, the hard work of our team was acknowledged with not one, not two, but three pieces of good news. Not only did this help us look back on a great 12 months but it also gave us plenty to look forward to in 2019.

First, back in November, we were given the accolade for ‘Best Overall Performance as a River Cruise Agent’ in the whole of the south of England. The news was announced at the CLIA River Cruise Conference in Paris, where the team celebrated fighting off a number of big names in the region with a luxurious stay on board Avalon Tapestry II. Although it came as quite a shock to the assembled members of Fred. Olsen Travel Agents staff (brought together from our 11 branches in East Anglia and along the south coast), everyone was delighted with the win and honoured to have come out on top.

Then, as the last few days of 2018 ticked away, we learnt that we have received two shortlist nominations on the Travel Trade Gazette Top 50 Awards. Not only have we, as a company, been chosen as one of the top 5 river cruise agents in the UK, but our Felixstowe travel agents has made the shortlist for ‘Best Travel Agent’ in the region of East Anglia. Again, there was some seriously stiff competition to make both of these lists, with over 500 agencies across the country being considered. We’re delighted to find ourselves in with a chance and are keeping everything crossed for when the winners are announced on April 25th.
